About Us
Our Story
Our Mission
Focus Therapy Clinic was established with a mission to service communities of color with consistent, quality therapy services. Focus Therapy Clinic works to provide people of color a safe place to rediscover themselves. Whether the goal is to restore, heal or work through the transitional periods of life, we are here to help.
We're here for you.
Everyone walks through life with a different story. Our job is to meet you exactly where you are. We honor you as the author of your story and provide a safe place to explore, rewrite and define who you are. As a team the therapist works with you to develop new goals, tackle barriers and walk different journey.
We want to emphasize that therapy is a voluntary service that requires the full consent and willingness of the individual participating. Our role is to support those who are ready and open to engaging in the therapeutic process. We do not believe in forcing or ambushing anyone into therapy, and we fully respect each person’s right to decide whether or not to participate. In the same spirit of respect, we also value the time, expertise, and dedication of our clinicians. Their schedules are carefully managed to provide the best care possible. When appointments are made but the individual either does not show up or attends without engaging, it can be disruptive and unfair to both the clinician and others who may be waiting for services.
We ask that all individuals who seek our support do so with readiness and respect for themselves, for our clinicians, and for the therapeutic process.
