Lalah Dunham, Master's level Intern

I am a student therapist pursuing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University, with experience in community-based social work supporting families through emotional and relational challenges. My background includes mediation, conflict resolution, and crisis management, which helps me approach therapy with a calm, thoughtful, and solution-focused perspective.

As a Black woman, I am committed to creating a culturally responsive and affirming therapeutic space that acknowledges and challenges the stigma surrounding mental health in communities of color. I strive to foster an environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported in their healing journey.

I am particularly interested in incorporating Narrative Therapy into my work and enjoy supporting couples, families, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward greater emotional well-being.
